3 Qualities a Home-Based Business Entrepreneur Needs to Be Successful
Many people think that setting up a home based business will be easy. They think that all they have to do is stick up some sort of website and they will be a millionaire. These people are on the road to being very poor very quickly. They jump around from get rich quick scheme to get rich quick scheme, paying for program after program and they are never successful. Then they give up in disgust and bad mouth those who work from home.
A home-based business is not a get rich quick scheme. Richard Branson started his empire in the basement and Bill Gates started work from the garage. If you want to be successful working from home there are three qualities that you need.
You need to be patient- Success is not immediate. You cannot just start a business and expect the money to roll in. You need to know that profitability takes time and effort. You need to build your home-based business up one foundation stone at a time to ensure that it is built in a viable way that cannot just be taken away from you. They say that there is no such thing as an overnight success although success can exponentially grow based on the efforts and patience that you have now.
You need to be dedicated to the point that you are stubborn- They say that the most successful people are dedicated to the point of stubbornness. (As an aside, I do not mean pig-headed. If you are stubbornly doing something that isn't bringing success to your business then you are wasting your time.) The most successful people work out what they want to do and then work out the best way to achieve it. They decide on their home-based business idea and they stick at it until it is profitable. They don't jump around from idea to idea and get bored easily. They don't waste money on schemes that fail to deliver. They set a goal, work out what they need to do to achieve this goal and then just stick at it.
You need to be prepared to ask for help and take advice and criticism from others- Successful entrepreneurs and home-based business people are always prepared to ask for help and take advice and constructive criticism from others. Sometimes you get stuck at a plateau and you need a little advice from others on how to take that next step. You need to surround yourself with some mentors who can help you take your business to the next level.
If you think that you possess the qualities that I have mentioned above then chances are that you could be very successful at running your own business.

The Weather in La Manga
La Manga is on the coast of the Costa Calida in the region of Murcia and has beautiful weather throughout the year - Winter, Spring and Summer. This pleasant weather and climate makes La Manga a great all year round holiday destination.
Like most of the Costa Calida it has mild weather during winter and hot summers. La Manga is in the region of Murcia which renowned for fantastic golf courses and beaches. Murcia also offers a wide range of leisure activities.
The annual average temperature of 20 degrees and boasts over 320 days of sunshine each year. The La Manga weather can be very hot during the summer months but with a nice breeze off the Mediterranean makes it a comfortable holiday destination during winter, spring and summer.

A study undertaken by Halifax in April 2008 revealed that British travellers now spend on average less than seven hours in total away from their hotel or resort while on holiday. The research showed that 70 per cent of Britons on package holidays do not wish to venture out on day trips, as most of the activities in La Manga Club are weather-reliant to an extent, it is important that the sun shines for you during your week's holiday.
Fortunately, the climate in La Manga Club is enviable and enjoys more than 2,800 hours - the equivalent of over 300 days - of sunshine each year.
The average annual temperature in La Manga is 19.3 degrees Celsius, a temperate climate by all means. Because the weather and climate is so balmy, feel free to leave your winter thermals, scarves and gloves at home when packing for your flights to Murcia.
Although November to March are cooler months, especially following sunset, during the days it is still permissible to dress in shorts and a t-shirt or similar.
Weather in La Manga - Summer
Summers are very hot with very little rainfall. The average daily temperature is usually 25 to 35 degrees and some days reaching 40 degrees. The low humidity and Mediterranean sea breeze provide relief from the heat and conditions and can be quite comfortable. The weather cools quite considerably after 7.30 pm.
Weather in La Manga - Winter
The Murcia region is very mild, particular when compared to northern Europe. The winter period is filled with clear, sunny days and with very little rainfall. The wettest month is November. Survival Skills Training 101 - Do You Know What to Do?
Survival skills training is becoming more and more important as our world becomes more dangerous. Even the most basic survival skills can mean the difference between life and death in several situations. You'll never stop learning new ways to survive, because potential threats are endless, but the more you know, the better your chances for safety and security.
To get you started on the right foot, this article breaks down three of the most basic and vital survival skills that could come in handy in the majority of survival situations.
How to Find or Create Shelter
If you find yourself in a location without appropriate shelter, then exposure to nature and the elements could be your greatest threat. You'll need to know how to use your environment to your advantage and create some sort of shelter to protect you, not only from weather conditions, but wild animals as well. In terms of shelter, there are actually two different kinds you need to focus on.
First, clothing is the most basic form of shelter and protection. Ideally, you should wear as many layers as possible, so you can stay warm in colder climates, but also remove one layer at a time as temperatures increase. Clothing will also help protect your skin from prolonged sun exposure, until you can find shade, which leads us to the second form of shelter. This is the more obvious form, any type of enclosure that will shelter you from rain and sun, while also creating at least some type of barrier between you and wildlife in the area. More often than not, you will have to construct your enclosure using only materials you can find around you, like rocks, sticks, leaves, clothes, and trees. A great way to practice this is to find a nearby wooded area, then try to build a small fort using only your surroundings and the clothing on your back.
Harnessing the Power of Fire
One of the most powerful and effective tools at your disposal is also one of the most magical: fire. Being able to create fire without the modern help of matches and lighters can be a literal life-saver in almost any outdoor survival situation. Fire is so versatile in that it can provide warmth, send a smoke signal, cook food, boil water, light up your area at night, and even keep some insects and animals at bay.
S.O.S. - Help!
While the above two skills will allow your to survive for much longer, you probably would like to return to civilization as soon as possible. You need to make as much noise and/or visual cues as you can to try and get the attention of potential rescuers. Fortunately, the fire discussed above will help do this on its own, but there are other ways to signal for assistance too. You can use pieces of glass or mirror to reflect the sun's rays at a passing boat or plane. If you happen to have a whistle or can make any other type of loud noise using rocks or even your voice, you could try to catch the ears of those nearby. The key to any signal for help is to send them in threes. Not only is this a universal sign of distress, the more times you send a signal, the better the chances are of someone seeing and/or hearing you.
Conclusion
You can never be too knowledgeable in the art of survival, but everyone should at least master these three core skills. Again, it is best to practice all of this survival skills training in a controlled environment first, so you have it mastered when you really need it.

Virgin - Richard Branson's Success Story
Famous Quote
"I don't go into ventures to make a fortune. I do it because I'm not satisfied with the way others are doing business."
Growing Up
Branson dropped out of school in 1967 at the age of 16 and started a magazine called Student. He hoped it would be a forum for politically-minded youth. He soon was publishing essays and interviews from such figures as Jean-Paul Sartre, James Baldwin, Alice Walker, and Robert Graves. Despite such a roster of great minds and literary figures, the magazine never made money and seemed bound to fail.
Starting the Business
Branson began marketing his next idea in the pages of Student; selling albums at a reduced rate through the mail. It rapidly became a more profitable business than the magazine itself. The staff of Student suddenly found themselves the employees of the Virgin discount record store. "Virgin" because no one had been in business before. Virgin had been going strongly but it was discovered Branson was dodging his tax payments. He was arrested and jailed.
Building an Empire
An out-of-court settlement was reached and, determined to keep the balance sheets carefully, Virgin Records was founded in 1973. Mike Oldfield's progressive "Tubular Bells" was the first record released through Virgin and became an international success. But, it was the signing of the Sex Pistols to his label in 1977 that truly established Virgin Records. Though the Pistols broke up soon after, Virgin became the largest indie label in the world. Bands like the Rolling Stone, Peter Gabriel and UB40 were signed to Virgin.
Over the next six years, Branson started over fifty different companies encompassing everything from filmmaking to air conditioner cleaning. Though he was making more than $17 million dollars from his various companies collectively, Branson insists that money is not the motivation behind his involvement in so many ventures. Rather, he enjoys attempting to do something more effectively than those who have tried before him.
In 1984, Branson started Virgin Atlantic Airlines - a company that would prove to be a great challenge as well as the cause of financial distress. Branson ignored discouraging comments that told him he could never compete with British Airways, and to look to the example of those who had failed before. The reason being that he had observed how airline companies did not look after their customers adequately enough - so he would be the one to bring affordable and enjoyable flights to the public. Virgin Air was immediately recognized for its service and luxury. In-flight massages, hydrotherapy baths and seat-back video screens were all part of the experience on-board a Virgin aircraft.
With fuel prices having doubled in the early '90s, terrorist attacks making people afraid to fly, and BA launching a campaign to put Branson out of the airline business, Virgin Atlantic struggled to stay afloat. Branson was forced to sell Virgin Records in order to raise enough money to keep Virgin Atlantic and pay off his creditors. The sale of the company that gave him his start was a crushing blow.
From this point on, Branson developed a new approach to business called "branded venture capital". Through this method, Branson licenses the well-known Virgin name and logo in exchange for a controlling interest in the venture. Consequently, Branson has his company's name fixed to more than 200 different companies, among which are Virgin Bridal, Virgin Publishing, a blimp company and a modeling agency.
Branson is known for his unusual business practices (no central headquarters, no board meetings, and he can't operate a computer), his showy publicity stunts (like driving a tank into Times Square and buzzing over Big Ben in an Airbus jet), and his adventurous exploits (he was the first person to cross the Atlantic in a hot air balloon and has attempted three times to fly it around the world). It might be thought that such an approach to business could have ruined him, but Virgin is a towering $5 billion dollar giant. And Branson keeps dreaming for the future. In discussing the prospect of starting a shuttle service into space, Branson has said, "Why not? It's virgin territory."

Branson Titanic - Worth a Visit
The disastrous fate of the Titanic has entranced, saddened, and entertained generations since the tragedy first happened in 1912. Now, visitors to Branson, Missouri have the chance to explore the ultimate Titanic Museum.
Designed like that fateful yet wondrous ship, Branson Titanic is 17,000 square feet and was developed as more than just an attraction; the Museum is a memorial to those who perished when the Titanic sank.
The Branson Titanic is known by the name,"Titanic: The Legend Continues". It has many artifacts from the Titanic including hundreds that have never been released for public viewing before. Essentially, the Branson Titanic will allow visitors the opportunity to see, feel, and experience the Titanic, as they never have before.
There are so many things to see relating to the Titanic, a visit to the museum is essential for anyone traveling to or through Branson. History buffs, Titanic enthusiasts, and schoolchildren will all learn something by going to this museum. However, a visit is recommended for nearly anyone no matter where his/he interests lie.
The next time you travel to the Branson area, check out the museum. It offers a beautiful memorial wall. The wall has etchings upon it of the names of all of the passengers and crew aboard the ship.
Other highlights of the attraction include a hard-to-find original menu from this ship (worth $100,000 today) and a display of photographs showing life on the Titanic while it was sailing across the Atlantic. This is the only visual documentation available to show life on the ship, which exists today!
All photographs were taken by Father Francis Browne. Browne was not only a Jesuit Priest, but also a first class passenger of the Titanic.
Additionally, there are over 400 artifacts, which are scattered throughout the attraction. There are several items, which were recovered back in 1912, after the disaster happened.
These items include photographs, items purchased while on board the Titanic, artifacts used by passengers while on the ship, and items passed down from survivors of the tragedy to their relatives and friends. Some examples of artifacts on display are deck chairs, lifejackets, menus, dinnerware, personal letters, and jewelry.
The massive size of the Branson Titanic is reminiscent of that great majestic beauty the original Titanic possessed. Branson Titanic has a forecastle nearly 50 feet high, and smokestacks, which rise an impressive 75 feet.
The attraction is owned by Cedar Bay Amusements. The president of Cedar Bay, John Joslyn, wanted this done right, to emulate the real Titanic and provide a scaled replica of the ship.
Your ticket to the attraction will list the name of a real passenger aboard the ship. You will get the chance to explore that passenger's destiny. You can walk through re-constructed versions of the Bridge, Marconi radio room, Verandah Café, the Boiler Room, and the Grand Staircase.
Children will love the attraction as they get to view an actual iceberg. In this interactive area, children can send SOS messages and steer the ship around the iceberg. Movie memorabilia is also available from all of the Titanic films including the 1997 Oscar-winning, Titanic, directed by James Cameron.
You can go on a 90-minute tour of the ship. As you enter the attraction, you must walk through the "iceberg", which is located in the exact area where the iceberg hit the Titanic. You will not want to miss the chance to sit in a lifeboat while you listen to tales of survival concerning passengers on the Titanic.
You can follow the grand staircase down to third class from first class and see two ships so historically perfect and nearly identical to the real Titanic (includes James Cameron's 26-foot version of the bow used in the hit movie and an 18-foot version of the ship).
Other features include a rare pair of shoes and a dress from 1912 that were created by designer Lucy "Lady Duff" Gordon (who was a first class passenger on the Titanic), a scaled Titanic propeller (you can stand beside the huge propeller it is so big) and reconstructed rooms.
The Branson Titanic is wheelchair accessible. This ship is one attraction you will not want to miss, whether you intended to stay in Branson or not. If you love the Titanic, "Titanic: The Legend Continues" is a necessary stop on your next vacation.
