How Branson Shows It's Appreciation For 2009

As Branson winds down the year 2009 you can almost hear a sigh. It is to the hearers imagination to believe this sigh is a sigh of relief the 2009 entertainment season is drawing to a close. Or maybe because it is a sigh that 2009 has been a slightly better year than 2008 which was a real disaster. I personally thought with lower fuel prices 2009 would be much better than 2008 but it turns out that folks are concerned about the economy and wonder about their job or maybe whether the company they receive a pension from will even be in business next year.

I know if that sigh is coming from someone that is involved in a show that it is a sigh of relief that they have really "broken a leg" (a saying from a back stage colleague when someone goes on stage to really give it their all) in their effort to do everything they could to make 2009 as successful as they could.

The Branson Shows closed or slowed down around the end of October for a short time to prepare for their gift to their customers for their business in 2009 by giving them the best Branson Christian Christmas Celebration ever. The City of Branson Shows it's appreciation by dressing up it's store fronts it's street corners and all it's public buildings in the most festive way possible.

Branson turns itself into the nations best and favorite place to visit during the Christmas season. All the Branson Shows have special music, skits and acts all through November and December. This is truly the way Branson Shows it's appreciation to everyone that comes for a visit during the year.

Another thing they do that you don't see very often elsewhere is they come out to the stage front or lobby during intermission or after the show and sign autographs and visit with all the folks and everyone really appreciates this extra gift. They really try to make a personal connection with every person that attends their event.

After the entertainment season and the year 2009 ends everyone sighs a sigh of relief and feeling of good will and maybe plan a road trip to do some extra entertaining elsewhere to try to augment their Branson Show earnings and to remind folks about them and what they have to offer in Branson. Most shows in Branson close from Christmas to late April or early March. This gives them time to take a little vacation, enjoy their family, take part in a training or learning program, or just take a well deserved rest and then it is time to start planning and practicing for the new 2010 entertainment season.
